Whether it’s Black Friday, Cyber Week or Prime Day: price comparison and deal apps are not only your BFF on BF. These apps provide you with more details and even give you a price history so that you can see the price development. This way, a supposed sale may turn out to be a dud because other shops are cheaper. Or the desired product on the list has been raised in price just before the sale, which means that the savings are lower. Shops know the limits of legality and use clever tricks to test them anew each time.
Note: A few of the following apps are developed in Germany and are therefore primarily designed for the German market. Nevertheless, the price search engines also list shops that deliver or are active in Switzerland and shops that do not deliver to Switzerland. Unlike our European neighbours, Switzerland has no dedicated price comparison apps. Although Toppreise.ch had an iOS and Android app, it is no longer developing it and instead refers to the responsive website.
Preisvergleich.ch is also designed for the Swiss market, but we can only recommend the site to a limited extent, as the site does not always show the cheapest offers on the overview page.
Idealo
Idealo claims to be Germany’s largest search engine, and it shows: there is hardly a product that is not listed there: whether it’s a coffee machine, travel suitcase or video games, the products are presented clearly and in detail. There is a price history and you can put items on your watch list so that you are immediately notified by push message when your desired product is on sale.

Geizhals is also an app developed primarily for the German market, but as with Idealo and Billiger, it lists shops that operate in Switzerland or deliver to Switzerland. Geizhals also offers wish lists and price histories. It also shows you immediately whether delivery to Switzerland is possible.

As the ending suggests: Billiger.de is also ostensibly a German price search engine. According to its own information, you can find over 4 million products there. The barcode search is particularly helpful – you can check directly in the shop whether it is the cheapest offer or whether it is cheaper elsewhere. In contrast to the price search engines above, deal apps focus primarily on the community idea and show a few, but selected offers from a shop. Advantage: You can ask the community whether the shop delivers to Switzerland.
DeinDeal
DeinDeal is probably the biggest deal site in Switzerland. The app shows you the best deals in Switzerland, with which you can save up to 70 %. In addition, DeinDeal also shows you deals from your neighbourhood in the biggest Swiss cities. You can even find travel deals in the app.
