spusu is a relatively new Swiss mobile provider. The Austrian company expanded and has been active in Switzerland since June 15, 2024. The name spusu is an invented word that stands for “speak and surf.” This also reflects the company’s core competence: providing mobile plans that allow customers to call and surf.

The company’s philosophy is “simple.human.fair.”

spusu uses Salt’s mobile network for its services, which was recently rated “outstanding” by Connect. spusu is a so-called Full Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO). This means the company operates independently but relies on Salt’s cell towers. Customers therefore benefit from broad 4G and 5G coverage. There is no throttling with spusu.

Strong 4G network

The outstanding 4G coverage is what sets the spusu network apart. In Switzerland, over 99% of all areas are covered. According to Salt, speeds of up to 750 Mbit/s are possible.

As for 5G, the rollout is still limited. Salt only began expanding its 5G network in 2020 and is therefore clearly behind Sunrise and Swisscom. Good availability is only present in selected locations for now. The coverage map shows you the situation in your region.

 As of August 2025, spusu currently offers only a few selected plans in Switzerland. It can be expected that the range will expand in the future.

Includes 10 GB of data, of which 3 GB can be used abroad for roaming. If you don’t travel, you can use all 10 GB in Switzerland. Unlimited calls within Switzerland are included.

spusu 15

Includes 15 GB of data. You can use all of it in Switzerland, or 3 GB per month within the EU. Calls within Switzerland are unlimited. The plan uses Salt’s network.

spusu legendär L

A flat-rate for data and calls in Switzerland. Unlimited surfing and calling every month. In Europe, you can use 12 GB of data monthly. Additionally, 100 minutes of calls from Switzerland to the EU, within the EU, and from the EU to Switzerland are included.

spusu legendär XL

More comprehensive than L: unlimited data and calls in Switzerland, plus 20 GB of roaming data in the EU. Also includes 100 minutes each from Switzerland to the EU, within the EU, and from the EU to Switzerland.

spusu Europa

Ideal for people who travel abroad often. Unlimited calls and data in Switzerland, plus 20 GB of EU roaming data. Includes 500 minutes each from Switzerland to the EU, within the EU, and from the EU to Switzerland.

spusu Europa XL

The most comprehensive plan. Unlimited calls and data in Switzerland, plus 50 GB of EU roaming data. Also includes 1000 minutes each from Switzerland to the EU, within the EU, and from the EU to Switzerland.

All spusu plans include at least a small roaming data allowance for use abroad. If you need more data, you can add it flexibly. Some plans also offer all-inclusive packages with unlimited data for Europe. spusu sends you an SMS when your included data is running low.

You don’t need to activate your new spusu plan right away — you have up to six months to do so. This gives you flexibility and freedom.

If you want to keep your phone number, you only need to inform alao before switching, and they will take care of the porting.
If you are switching from another provider to spusu, alao will handle the termination of your current contract and ensure a smooth transition.

Currently, spusu does not offer its own Internet or TV subscriptions in Switzerland. The focus is entirely on mobile services.

spusu stands for a flexible subscription model. Plans have no binding contract and can always be canceled at the end of the month. If a plan starts mid-month, the base fee and included services are calculated proportionally. Cancellation can be easily done through the customer portal.

On various review platforms, users consistently speak positively about spusu. In July 2025, Trustpilot showed 89% 5-star reviews. Customers especially praise the quality of service.
